BEST TIME TO VISIT:  July TO August:  

Wafting mists, streams full of fresh gossip and a rich luxuriance in the fields and forests characterize this part of year whose wonders and possibilities are enormous.  

Much of the Himachal remains washed with fresh rain and the temperatures are just perfect for a stroll in the drizzle or curl-up on the armchair with the mist drifting through the window.  

The Trans Himalayan areas of Spiti and Lahaul, and much of kinnaur remains dry as the rains-clouds are unable to cross the high mountains- and this is the start of the ideal trekking time through these areas.  

 

Travel Tip’s :  

  1. Cottons, Woolens, a wind- cheater or a light jacket and something waterproof are what will be required for most areas.
  2. Check your vehicle tyres.
  3. Stay only in Govt. approved hotels

   All the major tourist destinations are open for the tourists this time of the year.

  3. Ladarcha fair – Lahaul & Spiti

  5. July fires the starting gun for the traveling and trekking season to the higher reaches of Kinnaur & Lahaul & Spiti.
